The first day of the new year is almost over. I’ve spent the day with
What is more fun and fulfilling than that?
My New Year’s resolution is to spend more time doing that.
My word, for the year is ENJOY.
Here is the definition I found
Enjoy
To take pleasure or satisfaction in the possession or experience of; to feel or perceive with pleasure; to be delighted with; as, to enjoy the dainties of a feast; to enjoy conversation.
To have, possess, and use with satisfaction; to occupy or have the benefit of, as a good or profitable thing, or as something desirable; as, to enjoy a free constitution and religious liberty
To take satisfaction; to live in happiness.
I recently read Luluz, post about her Christmas Day.
She ended the post with
P.S. these children are not my biological grand children, nor am I really related to their moms, but love is such a wide open field and I am so proud of their moms I would be ecstatic if they all sprung from my family tree.
If you have read this blog before, I am sure you know I love my family and my extended family with a passion beyond measure.
I treasure my friends and their families as well. I love reading about your adventures and the stories you share about those you care about, your friends, your babies all the ones you hold dear.
One day this week I got a letter from the sister of a special customer I met at Expo a couple of years ago. She came to my Open House a few weeks ago with her mother and sisters. Sheila and I knew as soon as we saw her, she was very sick. The letter was to let me know she passed away just a week after she was here.
The next day I got a phone call from a friend, letting me know that a mutual friend had suddenly died. Her husband came home to find her unconscious, and was unable to revive her. I was with her and her husband on their first date. Her children are the same age as mine. I guess all this to say, we never know.
I’m pretty sure whenever I have a choice I am going to choose to
ENJOY
What a beautiful post....and appropriate for me and my family right now.

I agree with Christa - such a beautiful post and a timely reminder. I'm a little weepy today anyway but I love every reminder to love more freely, more often and more deeply (sounds like it could be a sign to sell in our booths!)
ReplyDeleteI made a fun announement on my blog today. You had a tiny part in my coming to this decision. thx.
be blessed, my friend!
I'm right there with you sister. Love Pam
ReplyDeletesuch wonderful reminders to truly "enjoy"...have a very happy new year and thank you so much for your thoughts, jules
ReplyDeleteOh Joy you are a "joy" to my life and I so very much appreciate you from the first moment I met you at the Quilt show in Silverton. I am so totally blessed and I thank you. Hugs Florence
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should change your name to Jump For Joy...your heart is so full of it. Who can blame you...family is everything! Nothing brings me greater pleasure than to see all of my melon heads gathered around me. If I could, I'd live in a house so big like the "Ewings" and have everyone of them in there too...but it would have to be a really big house!
