Today is the Day

A couple weeks ago we went to "the ballet", well actually a recital.
I was really disappointed, I mean really, really disappointed.
I was so excited to see these adorable dancers.

You might say I was too excited!

We were the only ones there...

We were 2 weeks early!

Today's the day, I double checked!

A Little Packaging

I've been sending out jewelry in little handmade cardboard envelopes.
They work out perfect for most of the necklaces and bracelets I need to mail.

I like to make them, I have piles and piles of started projects that I love to use up.

I make them in stages, gluing one time, coloring or painting the next, working with stamps, just kinda random things I like to do.  Then I sew them on top of cardboard and then  into little envelopes.

Now I need a bigger envelope for this cuff that is on it's way to Texas...
There is no way it's fitting in a regular size one.

Not a problem
and with my finely honed math skills,
I just "measured twice and cut once".

You gotta love it when a plan comes together.

I just put a couple on
Etsy
  This black one.

and this brown one.

I can send it to you, in a perfect sized package...

Crazy Collection

Sometimes I have to wonder if there is a deeper meaning to what I like,
 and therefore collect...
Like pitch forks...
Wonder why I REALLY REALLY like pitch forks???
Especially the ones that are sharp...
I have been collecting them for awhile. I just put them on the fence today.  If I had gone a little higher it could  work like barbed-wire on cyclone fencing
.  I haven't had a big problem with people trying to climb over the fence, but I will keep that in mind as I continue to collect sharp pitch forks...

I love this view off the back deck.  Our property ends where the tall grass starts. The field is grass that is  grown for seed, this time of year it is so pretty.  Sometimes there is a yellow haze over the field, that is pollen floating along...

After all the fun I had arranging the pitch forks I decided to bring out the hammock.
It always sounds like more fun than it is, after the battle of "mounting" (occasionally I get thrown) then its a little boring just laying there...

I'm still loving the Eden roses,
the biggest dilemma is whether to leave them on the bush or,
 bring them in the house.

I Love Summer

There are so many reasons,

time for family.

Just like the seasons

  They change so fast.

Hope you are enjoying summer for all your own reasons.
